During an LED facial, the client’s face is cleansed to remove any impurities. Then, LED panels or devices emitting specific wavelengths of light are positioned close to the skin. The two primary colors used in LED facials are:
- Red light: Red light therapy stimulates collagen production, increases blood circulation, and promotes cellular rejuvenation. It can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity, and even out skin tone. Red light therapy is often used for anti-aging purposes.
- Blue light: Blue light therapy primarily targets acne-causing bacteria on the skin. It can help control and reduce breakouts, minimize inflammation, and promote a clearer complexion. Blue light therapy is commonly used as a treatment for acne.
LED facials are typically painless and require no downtime. The duration of each session may vary, but the treatment is generally well-tolerated and can be customized to suit individual skin concerns and goals.
